The House
Coco Flotante is a four bedroom, three-and-a-half bath home picturesquely perched on a 75-foot bluff above the Pacific Ocean. The residence was renovated just last year with terra-cotta tiles, light stucco walls, beamed ceilings, and gauzy white curtains.
Ocean breezes and the sound of surf fill the house, which offers spectacular sunset views from every room.
Eight to ten people can stay here very comfortably, but smaller groups will also find the home's intimate spaces welcoming and well-proportioned. While the interior is lovely, the heart of the house is its outdoor living space, with large open air dining table, hammocks, ranchero, and intimate sitting areas just outside both first-floor master suites. Relax in the infinity pool, nap in a lounge chair with palms rustling overhead, or retreat with drink in hand to a comfortable chair under the cool of the ranchero when the sun is strong. Outdoor living is, truly, pura vida!
The upstairs bar and lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows catch all the best breezes and every last ray of sunset. A beautifully appointed, circular bedroom with queen size bed enjoys its own private floor-to-ceiling ocean views and shares a double vanity bath with a spacious twin bedroom down the hall.
Downstairs is the newly updated and fully equipped kitchen. If you love to entertain you will love this kitchen! If, however, all you need is a place to brew a cup of coffee, no problema. The local restaurants are many and offer everything from typical regional cooking, to pub fare, to award-winning French-fusion cuisine.
Two master suites are located downstairs and both feature king size beds, terra-cotta tiled baths, and private entrances with views of the ocean.
All rooms are air-conditioned, including the child-friendly living room with television and laundry room with washer and dryer. Coco Flotante has wireless internet for your convenience. The gracious, on-premises caretakers, Gama and Irene, are Spanish speaking (but you don’t have to be!) and are available to help you and make your stay more enjoyable.
